The New Year is conjures hopes and dreams, a fresh start or something new. Why not give the universe a shout-out for a bit of focus on your intentions? After all, intentions are only dreams unless you put some work in to manifest that shit!
This simple spell will help you focus on abundance – whatever that looks like for you – and may even help drive a little attention toward actionable goals.
While we use money as the driver here, you can replace the symbolism of cash and coin with something else that fits your wishes. For example, if you wish to have an abundant pollinator garden, you may wish to replace the money with various native seeds.
The What & The How
Glass jar (Mason jars work great)
Marker or paint (drawing a sigil)
Bay leaf (manifestation)
Cinnamon sticks (prosperity)
Green tea or Coffee (speedy delivery)
Money (change or bills)
Piece of paper & Pen/Pencil (writing)
- Start by cleansing your jar. You can do this using smoke (a smudge), water (rinsing it out – then dry it), or sea salt (put some salt in, shake the jar, then pour the salt out).
- Take your bay leaf and, using your permanent marker or paint, draw a prosperity sigil/symbol on the leaf. Some examples are the number “8”, as it is also the infinity symbol (∞), the Fehu rune (ᚠ), and the Omega or horseshoe symbol (Ʊ). Drop it in the jar.
- Put your money (or abundance representation) into the jar one piece at a time, imagining your abundance growing with each coin and bill.
- Next, cover your money with your cinnamon sticks, imagining the prosperity coming into your life.
- Sprinkle the green tea or coffee over the top of the contents. The caffeine represents the speed for which your abundance shall come to you, so sprinkle away!
- Lastly, write your intention on the piece of paper and drop it into the jar.
- You can cap the jar with the sigil drawn again on the lid, but don’t seal it shut permanently. You’ll want to open it and continue to add money and coins to it. Be sure to imagine your prosperity growing for each piece added.
