This Privacy Policy describes the types of information gathered by Sheri Kurdakul (“me”, “us” or “we”) in the process of providing this website, SheriKurdakul.com (the “Site”) and the data, services, information, tools, functionality, updates and similar materials (collectively, the “Service”), how we use it, with whom the information may be shared, what choices are available to you regarding collection, use and distribution of information and our efforts to protect the information you provide to us through the Service.
By using the Service, you hereby consent to allow us to process information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
This policy is subject to change. If our information retention or usage practices change, we will let you know by posting the Privacy Policy changes on the Service and/or otherwise making you aware of the changes. Your continued use of the Service following our notice of changes to this Privacy Policy means you accept such changes. Please refer to the “Effective Date” above to see when this Policy was last updated.
Territoriality
Regardless of where our servers are located, your personal data may be processed by us in the United States, where data protection and privacy regulations may or may not be to the same level of protection as in other parts of the world. BY VISITING THE SITE AND USING THE SERVICE, YOU UNEQUIVOCALLY AND UNAMBIGUOUSLY CONSENT TO THE COLLECTION AND PROCESSING IN THE UNITED STATES OF ANY INFORMATION COLLECTED OR OBTAINED BY US THROUGH VOLUNTARY SUBMISSIONS, AND THAT U.S. LAW GOVERNS ANY SUCH COLLECTION AND PROCESSING.
Information Collected
We collect two types of information about persons who use the Service: voluntarily provided personal information and automatically collected information.
Personal Information Collected
We collect certain personal information that can identify you (“Personal Information”), which may be supplied when you sign-up for the Service, when you create or update an account, when you use the Service, when you request services or otherwise when you submit such information. You may choose not to provide your Personal Information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of some of the features of our Site and Services. The Personal Information that may be collected includes:

You may provide Sheri Kurdakul Personal Information when you interact with us through email, or otherwise. We may retain such information in order to provide you with services.
Although it may appear that the Service collects credit card information, it is collected and processed through a third-party provider. We do not hold your credit card information.
Non-Personal Information
We also collect non-personally identifiable or anonymous information about you (“Non-Personal Information”), including but not limited to links and materials posted, the type of device you used and its operating system, the pages accessed most frequently, how pages are used, applications downloaded, referring/linking pages, search terms entered, and similar non-personal data.
Automatically tracking Internet Protocol (IP) addresses is one method of automatically collecting information about your activities online and information volunteered by you. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your device whenever you surf the internet. Further, the Service may utilize web beacons, pixel tags, cookies, embedded links, and other commonly used information-gathering tools.
Although it may be possible to turn off the collection of cookies through your device, that may interfere with your use of the Service.
Part of the functionality of the Service is to enable you to post public reviews of resources. Anything that you publicly post will not be considered Personal Information.
Use of Information
Internal Use of Information
We accept and gather information in an effort to provide the Service to you. We may also use this information to help us develop and improve our Service and other offerings, fulfill your requests, track usage trends, conduct experiments and perform research and analytics, communicate with you regarding administrative matters, send promotional emails to you, send materials to you, including advertisements from us that are targeted to your interests, tailor our Service and offerings to meet your interests and those of others, and for other purposes permitted by law.

Sharing Information Collected with Third Parties, Consultants, and Affiliates
We may share information with our business associates, consultants, service providers, advisors and affiliates in order for them to provide services to us, to you, and to enable us to provide the Service. For example, our host and internet service provider may have access to this information.
We may share information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may allow third-party advertising servers or advertising networks, to serve advertisements and/or collect information for the Site or Services. These third-party ad servers or ad networks send the advertisements and links that appear on the Site directly to your browser, and automatically receive your IP address when this happens. We also transmit certain data to Google, Inc. (“Google”), LiteSpeed Technologies, Inc. (“LiteSpeed Cache”), Zoho Corporation Pvt. Ltd. (“Zoho”), and Automattic Inc. (“WooCommerce” and “WordPress”) as described herein.
If you use the Service to interact with other users, your information may be shared with those other users and will also be accessible by us. We may share information with other users on the Service that you identify for such sharing.
Further, we may disclose collected information to the extent we believe it necessary to comply with the law, such as in response to a subpoena or court order, to defend a legal claim or otherwise as permitted by applicable law. We may disclose any information in our possession in the event that we believe it necessary or appropriate to prevent criminal or illegal activity, personal injury, property damage or bodily harm.
Additionally, we may transfer your information to successor in interest, which may include but may not be limited to a third-party in the event of an acquisition, sale, asset sale, merger or bankruptcy.
Google Analytics
We use third-party web analytics services including Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies (see above) to help us analyze how users use the Site. The information collected in the cookie about your use of the Site is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. You may refuse the use of cookies (see above). You can also opt-out from being tracked by Google Analytics by downloading and installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for your current web browser: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. WOOCOMMERCE
We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store.
What we collect and store
While you visit our site, we’ll track:
- Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
- Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
- Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!
- We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.
When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
- Send you information about your account and order
- Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Set up your account for our store
- Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
- Improve our store offerings
- Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them
- If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for XXX years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.
We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.
Who on our team has access
Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:
- Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
- Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.
- Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.

Payments
We accept payments through PayPal. and Stripe When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal and/or Stripe, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

LITESPEED CACHE
This site utilizes caching in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary. We may use QUIC.cloud services to process & cache your data temporarily.Please see https://quic.cloud/privacy-policy/ for more details.
WOOCOMMERCE SHIPPING & TAX
For payments, we send the purchase total, currency and customer’s billing information to the respective payment processor. Please see the respective third party’s privacy policy (Stripe’s Privacy Policy and PayPal’s Privacy Policy) for more details. For automated taxes we send the value of goods in the cart, the value of shipping, and the destination address to TaxJar. Please see TaxJar’s Privacy Policy for details about how they handle this information. For checkout rates we send the destination ZIP/postal code and purchased product dimensions, weight and quantities to the carrier directly or via EasyPost, depending on the service used. For shipping labels we send the customer’s name, address as well as the dimensions, weight, and quantities of purchased products to EasyPost. We also store the purchased shipping labels on our server to make it easy to reprint them and handle support requests.
THE EVENTS CALENDER
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Event, Venue, and Organizer Information
If you create, submit, import, save, or publish Event, Venue, or Organizer information, such information is retained in the local database:
- Venue information: name, address, city, country, state, postal code, phone, website, geographical coordinates (latitude and longitude)
- Organizer information: name, phone, website, email
- Event information: website, cost, description, date, time, image
- Importing Events, Venues, and Organizers:
- All data present within a CSV or ICS file and external URLs (for events, venues, organizers, and tickets)
- Import origin data (URL from where events are being imported—such as Eventbrite, MeetUp, other compatible URL sources, and more, which can include similar or same data as listed above)
- Eventbrite Ticket information: name, description, cost, type, quantity
Please note that to create new events through the Community Events submission form, a user must hold a website account on this domain. This information is retained in the local database. It is also possible to create events anonymously, if the site owner has this option enabled.
When purchasing Eventbrite Tickets, attendee, purchaser, and order information are stored and managed by Eventbrite.
API Keys
We make use of certain APIs, in order to provide specific features.
These APIs may include the following third party services: Google Maps (API key), Meetup (OAuth token), PayPal (email, Client ID, Client Secret), Eventbrite (API key, auth URL, Client Secret), and Zoom (email, Client ID, Client Secret).
EVENT TICKETS
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Event, Attendee, and Ticket Purchaser Information
If you create, submit, import, save, or publish event ticket information, as well as obtain RSVPs or purchase tickets to events, such information is retained in the local database:
- Attendees information (RSVPs and Tickets): name and email address
- Ticket information (RSVPs and Tickets): name, email address, and ticket number/SKU (via check-in page)
- Ticket purchaser information: name and email address
- Ticket purchaser billing address, which is collected through the use of WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, or PayPal
Please note: The website owner can collect nearly any Attendee Information requested from ticket buyers by creating a custom registration form.
API Keys
We make use of certain API keys, in order to provide specific features.
These API keys may include the following third party services: Google Maps and PayPal.
Links
Our Service may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. When you leave our Service to visit another website or application, please read the privacy statements of websites that may collect Personal Information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us through the Service.
Security
We employ procedural and technical safeguards to secure your personal information against loss, theft, alteration, and unauthorized access, use and disclosure. We also employ security procedures to protect your information from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the company.
Regardless of the precautions we take, no transmission of data over the internet is guaranteed to be completely secure. It may be possible for third parties not under our control to intercept or access transmissions or private communications unlawfully. While we strive to protect personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us.
E-Mail and Electronic Newsletters
We may offer electronic newsletters and e-mails concerning promotions, new products and services, or other marketing materials as a service to our users. You may receive newsletters and e-mails concerning promotions and marketing of ours, after you register through with the Service. If, after you have received a message, you no longer wish to receive such materials, you may opt-out by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each electronic newsletter and e-mail.
Access and Control
User profile and billing information will be editable through the Service. Some other information collected about you may be retrievable and changeable through your username login. To do so, follow the instructions on the Service.
Communication Tools
The Service may contain tools that enable you to share personal information, including sensitive information, with others, on the Service. Should you choose to use such tools, please exercise caution when sharing sensitive information.
Do Not Track
At this time, the Service does not specifically respond to do-not-track signals.
Children and Privacy
We do not knowingly permit users to register for our Service if they are under 13 years old, and therefore do not request Personal Information from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that a customer is under the age of 13 and has registered without prior verifiable parental consent, we will remove his or her personally identifiable registration information from our files. If you are the parent or guardian of a person under the age of 13 who has provided Personal Information to us without your approval, please inform us by contacting us at the e-mail address below and we will remove such information from our database.
California Privacy Rights
California law allows California residents to request information regarding our disclosures in the prior calendar year, if any, of their Personal Information to third parties. To make such a request, please contact us at SheriKurdakul(at)me(dot)com with “Request for Privacy Information” in the subject line. Please include enough detail for us to locate your file; at a minimum, your name, email, and username, if any. We will attempt to provide you with the requested information within thirty (30) days of receipt. We reserve our right not to respond to requests sent more than once in a calendar year, or requests submitted to an address other than the one posted in this notice. Please note that this law does not cover all information sharing. Our disclosure only includes information covered by the law.
